Green Schools

Green schools is an international environmental education programme, offering a well-defined, controllable way for schools to take environmental issues into the curriculum and apply them to the day-to-day running of the school.

Cappawhite National School has a long history with the green school’s programme. The school has achieved six green flags to date and in May was awarded the Seventh green flag, based on Global Citizenship - reducing energy. The Green School’s Committee, under the leadership of Ms. Buckley and Ms. Ryan worked hard on this initiative.
