Welcome to the Cappawhite National School website. We hope this site will be of great benefit to our parents, guardians and the wider community. As it develops we hope to add further content and photographs, giving everyone a glimpse into our busy life here at our school.

Cappawhite N.S. is a Catholic ethos primary school for boys and girls. It is located in the village of Cappawhite, in County Tipperary

The school has 5 mainstream classrooms, catering for each primary level from Junior Infants through to 6th Class. We also have 2 special classes, called Sonas 1 and Sonas 2, which cater for pupils on the Autism Spectrum. We also have two special education rooms.

There are 5 mainstream classroom teachers, 2 Special Education teachers and 2 Special class teachers, as well as an administrative Principal and a school secretary and six special needs assistants

Cappawhite National School is under the patronage of the Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly. Under the management of the School Board of Management, we work in collaboration with parents and the local community.

We commit ourselves to promoting the well-being of all the pupils in our care by developing the spiritual, emotional, physical and intellectual potential of each individual.

We strive towards developing excellence in our communication, literacy, numeracy and relevant life skills.

We are concerned with developing a broad vision of the wider world and fostering love and care for our environment.
